I am so sore today. My hamstrings were already just a bit sore before the workout today and now they are gone. It's not even funny. I got that walk that you get after you finally start training again. You know the one where it looks like you have stick in your booty? 😀
Today I did 4x5x100m with 10 pushups and 25 crunches between sets and like 2-3 minutes after that.
It was ext. tempo and run at a fairly fast pace surprisingly. I tried not running fast but I was running with nearly perfect form so the opening up of my stride made me go faster than I wanted, but I still managed to keep pretty much the same pace.
I did the first two sets on the track since our grass is all jacked up with holes, indentions, bare spots, etc. But after 2 sets my knees were hurting so I went on the grass anyway and though my knees were better it hurt my hip flexors. But, I think that has more to do with the fact that I had to try harder to keep my knees up to avoid slippage and stuff.
It was a good workout, though. I was so relaxed the whole time I scared myself. Knee up, toe up, heel up the entire time. I loved it. However, I was spent afterwards because of muscle fatigue like no other. I'ma be sore at work tonight.
Luckily tomorrow is just a Seagrave day. Nothing hard. However, I noticed that I'm going too fast on the accels during my warm up (which is like Seagrave's) and I was a bit tired today. I wasn't yesterday, but I was today for some reason. I think I'ma turn down the pace on the accels.
Oh well. I could use some rest tonight, but that's not going to happen so tomorrow I'll make sure to sleep in.
