I was looking at it from a developmental perspective, is he already so mature that he has little improving to do? Clay went 7.3k at 19 years old, 6.5k for Sebrle at 18yo, Hardee 7500 at 19yo, Dvorak 7200 at 18yo, O’Brien 6.7k at 18yo, Thompson 7.7k at 18yo. Hingsen 7.4k at 19. Nothing definitive can really be seen in those stats, I think we would have to know more about his background to see if he has been doing T&F for his whole life or what. A lot can happen to someone, he has this record, but can he take it to the next level? There are a lot of examples of prodigies, I am cheering for him, but we will have to wait and see.
I think he still has a lot of room to improve. Even if he has reached a decent level of maturity it wont take much to get him in the 8000’s. He has enough speed that he should be long jumping further, he can definitely improve on his throws big time. His pole vault lone can increase 1-2 hundred points during college.
