The study itself I like, its tried to fit research to a context (soccer players). I’m not sold on PAP though, there is a lot of research being done on it at my university and these guys are always willing to look at it from the other side of the fence. My main gripes with it is the timing, research has shown roughly 12 minutes is the best time for inducing PAP (I can find these papers if need) which doesn’t fit in to well with track and field (Call room’s, 1st and 2nd call etc.) and also with some of the protocols used its hard to distinguish where the classic warm up ends and PAP begins or is there even a PAP phase in a good warm up?
I’ve got a lot of papers on this if anyone wants to look at them.
