I’m confused. He said 5-10 reps of 10-20m. That would probably average about 100m total with a max of 200m if you did 10 reps of all 20’s. How is this too much to add to a speed end session? Someone said 2-3 reps? How is this going to have any impact on accel at all? I don’t think he’s talking about starts or block technique, but developing accel.
On speed days, maybe limit it to 100m total. I though most people did accels before max v sessions most of the time anyway.
On speed end days, I don’t see how even 200m would be too much, and might be a good lead into the speed end, which you don’t necessarily need to do with full recovery.
If it is a speed. end session, it would make sense to be fully fresh before doing the runs. If you’re doing 3-5x10m, 3-5x20m, since that’s basically what 5-10x 10-20m translates to, then you’re looking at unneccesary fatigue before hand, unless you’re doing 2x150s after.
I’d do something like 1×10,1x20m,1x30m
