Friday:
very hot, yet trained and risked to do some lower body lifting:
5 min stationary bike + stretching + drills
squat 4x10x60kg easy
incline bench: 10,12×30 2x10x40kg
At night my elbows felt somehow sore. I still feel really uncomfortable with my shoulders at the incline bench.
I’d suggest work on LJ technique my training partner jumped 7.22 running 11.4 consistent.
My pr’s were done after just 3 months of training, which by the way were also interrupted due to 2 small injuries. I just didn’t have time to practice a full length approach of 20 step, had to stuck with 16. I was somehow crazy since I wasn’t able to bring my whole speed to the board, yet it was a choice between that or practicing technique. I am the kind of guy with ok max v yet my accel isn’t great, so I need a long way to gain momentum. I also struggled with my landings, changing in the last minute (week before state and nat champs) to a stride technique coming fron the hitch, since I struggled way too much with the landings.
This weekend I didn’t do anything at all since it was ridicously hot in Buenos Aires. Today a very light bike ride with some bike sprints in between and easy bodyweight circuits.
Today I confirmed something I was suspecting, my left knee has healed after two years from meniscal injury. I had been having clicking/cracking (moderate to severe) in every single knee flexion I did since the operation, it was already annoying having to live with such cracking in every step. Now it suddenly disappeared on Saturday after Fridays’ squatting session.
