Today was my first decent running session in a while. I jogged about 5km steadily, consisting of various hill and stairs. In between ???loops??? (each loop was about 500m) I would do a low intensity plyo/core circuit. Unfortunately this workout was done on the hard track, so that may have slightly impeded its effectiveness. I went extremely hard on the last loop, so that took a lot out of me. I have to get back into the rhythm of training. High school track start on Monday, but it is only twice a week. However I have to train with my club 3 days a week, so that only leaves two days for my own training. There is a possiblity that I could talk to my high school coach and explain my situation and see if I could miss a practice a week or something. I have no idea what type of training they do their, so it may end up being good or bad.
My next few days will likely look like this
Sunday: Low Intensity General Fitness Circuit (Goal Volume: 1000 core ???units???)
Monday: High School Track (no idea)
Tuesday: Likely intensive tempo
Wednesday: Low Intensity General Fitness Circuit (Goal Volume: 1000 core ???units???) or rest depending on how I feel
Thursday: Probably some acceleration work at the track
Friday: High School Track (no idea)
Saturday: Low intensity circuit or rest day
Sunday: Accel work at track
Obviously this is a sort of GPP setup. I???ll put heavy emphasis on fitness, with most of the speed work being accels. I don???t want to go much further than 30-40 right now as I haven???t sprinted for 2-3 weeks, so I think it is risky and pointless, until I get used to it again. I plan to gradually start introducing MaxV again after a few weeks like this, and shortly after SE (150 and under).
