Workouts: Accels on grass
Warmup: Core reps, stretches, buildups, accels
2*10 meter 3 point start
10*30: 3.92, 3.92, 3.97, 3.97, 3.95, 3.86, 3.92, 3.97, 4.01, mistime
Comments: There are several important note about this workout. I did all the runs in clusters of two, meaning I would run one, walkback and immediately do another one. I would then take a full recovery of 5-6 minutes. This allows me to do my accels much more quickly, and it doesn???t seem to detract from the times. I give credit to Pete for that idea. Now to the conditions.
1)It was in spikes
2)It was on grass
3)It was into a heavy wind
4)It was my first speed work in 3 weeks
Those aren???t excuses, just explanations as to why the times are about 2-3 tenths slower than normal! I???m not concerned about the time though, as they felt decent, and they were consistent. When I get onto a firm track with no wind, I will be fine. Tommorrow I will if I feel good I will do hills, if I feel worn out I will do extensive tempo.
