School Track: I actually managed to get in a suprisingly good warmup, which was pretty much my number one concern. We did 2 block starts out to about 30 (only 2 because it took a long time as most of the kids were just learning to use blocks). After that we did 5*approx 120-130m with about 90 seconds between reps. I actually went fairly hard on these, probably about 90% (in flats), however only the last rep was a real challenge. Jogged 400m as a cooldown.

Did most of warmup up a hill, did some GS type work up a hill, then did some tempo up a hill (not my idea, coaches). It wasn???t too bad. Then an extended 2 kilometer cooldown jog, on varied terrain. The intensity was challenging for sure, but definitely managable.

Darn, I feel like I???m getting a cold. Oh well, I would rather have one now then when I start competing. I???m doing my best to keep it under control, with lots of rest, vitamin C, water, zinc, and chicken soup. The challenge is doing enough work during the cold do maintain general fitness, while not doing too much and really getting sick. I???m not sure what I???m going to do today. I may just do a very low volume tempo session, or a light general fitness circuit.
