Saturday June 12th
Good session today. After a nice warmup, I got the blocks out and did a series of starts.
1*20, 1*30, 1*40, 3*50-60
None were timed unfortunately, and I didn't have anyone to race against like I usually do, so it's difficult to say if they were fast or not. They felt good though, and that's all I have to go on. My coach gave me a tip that really helped, he told me to get my butt higher in the set position, and it really seemed to help. For the first 20 meters I just focused on that, and being explosive with my arms. When I started to come up, I focused on being nice and quick with my stride, not allowing myself to get lazy. After that it's all about relaxation.
Okay, I found out today I'll be doing a submax SE pyramid. This kind of makes planning a bit awkward, but I should be able to manage.
Sunday: 15*100 @ :18 w/30 seconds rest
Monday: Maybe a short accel session, sprints between 20-40 meters?
Tuesday: SE Pyramid, likely something like 100, 150, 200, 250, 200, 150, 100 w like 6 minutes rest between each, @ 90-95%, relaxed but fast
Wednesday: Extensive Tempo/General Fitness Circuit (2*100, 300, 550, 300, 2*100) 100's @ 18 w/30 seconds rest, 300's @56 w/1:30 rest, 550 @1:50 w/3:00 minutes rest. 400 general fitness reps.
Thursday: Probably an easy speed session, relay exchanges, some start and maybe some submax work
Friday: Light circuit and stretch.
Saturday: Meet- I think just the 100 on day one, but I'm not 100% sure, can't access schedule
Sunday: Meet- 200 and 4*100 relay
