Shuttle runs on the turf today with my colby friend
This workout was right up his alley as it was pretty much made for football, we reminseced about doing the 300 shuttle for HS football testing
Workout was:
2 x300yrd shuttle supposed to be @60s
4 x 150 yrd shuttle supposed to be @27s
3/8 min rep/set rest
25 yrd spacing
In high school being the bigger kid that i was, i was a linemen sorta out of place even then. Because of that i have large lineman cleats (really they feel like boots). which i think had a negative affect on the workout but i whined my way through it haha. my friend was sympathetic as he laughed at me running in them.
My friend and i took turns running each thing so that we could call out the times after each down and back.
300’s
57 & 61 i ran the second one barefoot to see the effect of not having the “boots” on… it didnt have the desired effect as instead of stopping and cutting i ended up having to do turns to come back.
I went back to the “boots”

My friend for his testing has to do 4 quaters of 6 X70yrd sprints @ 10s each… we decided to do 1 quater to see what it feels like
so
6 x 70yrds all of our times were well in the 8 and 9’s with the last one a 10.
I planned on lifting legs today but the workout happened late because he had work so im postponing it till tmr.
