rough workout.
This workout i have been looking forward to ever since i got the workout plan from coach p.
4 x400 @(originally supposed to be under 56 seconds with full rest but coach p said it was hopefully going to be 58 to be more realistic).
I wish it was all under 58.
I ran the workout with nescac football friend. (once again he couldnt finish the workout haha, but this time him and me made sure i finsihed it)i used him as a rabbit almost for when he did run with me.
first one i had him start about 10m in front of the lane 2 starting line (i was in lane 1)and then we ran a 55. i was pumped after that. i passed him around 300m.
then it was DOWNHILL from there
next one he started from the same spot as b4 but i passed him at about 140m into it. we ran a 62.
he quit on me after that, he haddent eaten much that day, and definatly shouldnt have kept going.
i went on to run a 69 and then a 66.
rest was about 10 min between each run.
The workout was not what i expected, i was hoping to be much more consistent with my times, but i know that i got a good workout out of it, and that i ran a 55 fairly easily makes me more confident in my abilities. I wonder what i could run in a open 400 with competition. I am not a 400 runner, but i do think that i should be athletic enough to run a solid 400 in order to run a good 2. ehh im just trying to find good in a shitty workout.
