During Mesocycle 1, Day 1 is the ‘max force’ day, and after week 4 the Day 1 load is always >80%. Weeks 7-12, all Day 1 loads are >85% except one, and last two weeks loads are at least 90%. Five of the 12 high load days are over 85%, and two are over 90%.
During Mesocycle 2, the only max force day loads that are 80% or less are the first and last sessions, and the last session is actually during the taper. Six of the twelve max force days are at least 85% and two are over 90%.[/quote]
This is a different study. The study done by Stone RELATING TO SPRINT TRAINING compared a max force group (80% of 1RM) and a “max power” group (30% of 1RM). Good job.
