After a periode of strength training we will see increase in type 11a fibres. Deconditiong from the strength training will change the fibre composition from 11a to 11b.
It doesnt make it irrelevant that 90 % 1RM lifting with high relativ contraction speed recruts more fibre 11b. But it sure those make -80% 1RM lifting relevant with proper managment of deconditioning.
now i will like to see the reference of 90% 1RM fibre recruitment pattern in the high bar squat. I heard Poliquin talk about it in a seminar but i never found a reference.
