Alright time to drive the stake through this coffin
And if neural efficiency isn’t transferable, why are lower weight class athletes almost always stronger pound4pound than heavier ones with similar body compositions?
Different concepts. In fact Ed is doing a sumo style dead so posting the videos is feeble….but you can get stronger pound for pound with sub 85% weights.
And that’s why he had a stronger pound4pound lift at lighter bodyweight? That’s the point you thought I was trying to show with those vids?
If that’s what I was trying to show, wouldn’t it have been better to show how powerlifting records show pound4pound strength decreases as bodyweight increases without fail in every weight class?
Btw Coan’s strongest p4p pull came in the 181lb. class (what a surprise): 791.5 4.37x bw.
198lb.: 859.8 4.35x bw
220lb.: 901.7 4.10x bw
242lb.: 887.4 3.699x bw
Why isn’t all that added muscle mass helping him put up that big weight?
Was he using SuperSumo style on those? Lol.
Again:
Lamar Gant-
123lb.: 639.3 5.18x bw
132lb.: 683.4 5.17x bw
Konstantin Konstantinovs-
275lb.: 948.0 3.45x bw
308lb.: 939.2 3.33x bw
