I don't understand how your track season ended so early (April 15). Are you in the U.S.? Anyway, if your season wasn't too taxing on your body, and the competitive season was short, I don't think you need much transitional time of general activity/active rest, as would be the case with an extended season. Looks like you have the right idea in going into speed/strength work. Studying this site well could get you a great program, with very nice progression…always look to be heading somewhere with the workouts…it is very important. Now is your chance to make something great! I've found 3-4 week blocks of like workouts work very well. Transition to a new building block with a different feel, though not entirely different in and of itself. This helps you to achieve milestones with each phase, instead of feeling like you're in limbo. Definitely ask specific questions. The coaches here have been very helpful with their answers, which has resulted in stellar workout plans.
