In the first six weeks I used 1.6g 4x per day, then reduced it to down to 1g 3x per day. It is not really a short term supplement. My understanding is that the greatest benefits come from chronic supplementation as it increases muscle carnosine levels which subsequently offers a buffering effect of sorts.
