You’re missing my previous point- clearance position is more efficient with the flop. Takeoff capabilities are greater with the straddle. As a result, they potentially balance (according to Dapena).
I always wondered why people never flopped forwards into a somersault. You can get far more trunk flexion than trunk/back extension. One drawback could be increased neck injuries though when attempting to land.
Golf is a very athletic event…for high handicappers. It’s equivalent to boxing – you spend half the time beating yourself up!!
