Bodyfat should still be a large concern for sports where strength to weight ratios are key. You will not find many sucessful track and field sprinters over 8%. In the pros you will not find many over 6%. Remember as cf says what looks right flies right. Now Im not sayin bf% testing is the most important thing and should be a focus but if an athlete is 180 pounds and 10% bodyfat through diet and training if he gets that number down he will perform better.
