Handoffs today. Warming up and putting my spikes on I felt very fast. The first time going at a full sprint it was pretty incredible, I haven’t gone hard in weeks and even with just a stride I felt faster than I’ve ever felt before.
Handoffs started off alright. Hamstring felt weird accelerating but I was ok. Third one in I dug in really deep during my acceleration and felt a strange feeling that something shifted around in my hamstring, almost like a little mini pop. I stopped immediately and was able to slow down with no pain. It’s not hurt… It feels overstretched and kinda sore. =/ I went to our trainer and he said it could just be some muscle fibers shifting back into place since I haven’t sprinted in such a long time, hoping that’s the case. Not any stinging pain so I’m hopeful, but it still feels weird. Hope I don’t have to skip yet another meet… 🙁
