I appreciate your prompt reply. I suspected that it was intensive; especially since the recovery time was only 5min between reps. You are right that they did do plyos, med ball, and other types of strength/power work.
I'm just not sure about the usefulness of the breakdowns within that program. Although, I suspect that they use them for increasing their capacity -"work capacity"- to handle more intense sprinting/competition.
We know that more than one sprinter in the SMTC has run sub10/sub20; so it obviously didn't hurt them.
The question is how did those breakdowns help?
