If I am taking a good whey with Glutamine and BCAAs post workout is it necessary to add Casein as well? And if so, should it be taken at at a different time of day? Any help is appreciated.
As Joe says, Whey is generally quicker digesting, and so is ideal for post-exercise. Casein is slower digesting, and is useful for other times of the day. It is quite common to take casein pre-bed in order to provide a source of protein over night, although this isnt necessarily essential.
