In my experience this is often the case. Although some coaches may have an immense amount of experience, and learnt some valuable lessons, I still feel it is imperitive to understand the ologies in order to understand the WHY not just the HOW.
I am from the UK and have just spent a month interning under Dan. He always tailors the level of detail and scientific jargon to his audience. I think his years teaching the sciences to high school students, gives him some sort of pedagogical wizardry. Perhaps he has a wand under his moustache.
