The UK coaches would say that was way to scientific…lets just stick to coaching the long jump. Or something like that…
I don’t think that’s confined to the UK. I’d guess the majority of coaches in the U.S would say the same.
How many of those have Dan’s coaching resume though?
It always gives me a good chuckle when people say that someone is too scientific for coaching or that scientists can’t be good coaches. Sure someone can over-complicate things but that goes for anyone. And if you are educated in coaching science, sport psychology and motor learning, you know that know matter what you know you shouldn’t over-complicate things for the athlete.
