If you are capable of planting your take off leg slightly more close to your COM and keep the leg with better stiffness throughout the jump you may be able to get same height yet while loosing less speed. Are you going for height or jumping forward? Are you pulling at the board or just planting?
Btw I made this list long time ago, may help you to see were you are, jumper / height / weight / ratio:
pedroso 176 70 2,514285714
beamon 189 75 2,52
lewis 191 81 2,358024691
myricks 186 82 2,268292683
powell 188 77 2,441558442
taurima 190 75 2,533333333
philips 181 82 2,207317073
howe 184 73 2,520547945
saladino 176 70 2,514285714
dombrowski 187 87 2,149425287
Right now, I don’t even know what I’m doing, the speed I get at the board with is a surprise and causes me to panic.
Height/Weight ratio: 2.15 right now, trying to get to 2.20 I guess. Anything bigger will have to happen next year if I still do track then.
