I personally would want very few strength coaches designing my t&f or XC athletes strength program. I would prefer to design it and have the strength coach help oversee it's implementation and offer suggestions to me on changes to the program and possibly changing a certain athletes training program focus.
Agreed. I change my guys weight training so many times it is difficult to keep my sanity. Everybody is different. You can make a semi-specific yearly plan if you want but if I do that, it usually goes in the wastebasket after a couple months.
When your "strength coach" does their lifting seperately you are often a prisoner to them.
