I'll bet you run a great mile. Your training is far better suited to doing or perhaps more so the 800m than running a 400m fast.
My mile isn't amazing. I could prolly manage around 4:45. With a little more training i may be able to run well in the mile. I enjoy running though and i personally feel like the added aerobic workouts help me mentally and physically in the 400 and 400 hurdles. Its different for everyone though.
