Through my few years of researching this topic in graduate schools and during my thesis the number one nutrition error made by athletes was insufficient caloric intake withnumber two being total protein intake, but that is relative total food consumed. Women were often the worst culprits for obvious reasons.
Another hot button was that knowledge appears to have very little if anything to do with what athletes consume. Food availability makes the most substantial difference to athletes, especially considering condensed free time and being extremely tired/sore. Preparing food is the first thing to be cut. My wife is a dietician and I can’t tell you how many of her past and previous collegues are rediculously fat, even the weight loss specialists :wow:
