I dont know how well that would work, I've seen that approach turn out to be counterproductive. Athletes in the hs or collegiate setting are most likely going to drink, and drink together with their teammates. The only thing I can think of is having the team captain, someone whom the other athletes respect, having a talk with other teammates and getting them to agree not to drink during the season. But other than that, I dont know. It has to be the athletes decision not to drink for whatever reason, you cant really tell them not to drink and expect them to listen. You just have to hope that they realize that its affecting their performance, and they come to the decision not to drink on their own.
