yahhh, I just don’t feel that in season drinkings good for athletic performance, but hey – that’s my opinion. Off seasons fine, but excessive drinking in season inhibits the body’s abilities to recover after hard workouts b/c your body has to repair itself and cycle out the alcohol simultainiously. In turn this leaves more room for injury occurence if training contiunes, not to mention the strain alcohol has on the CNS and they way it affects the REM cycle, also affecting recovery. The list goes on and on…Again, the facts i stated were from the speaker, directly from the site. Leaving all other factors out such as diet, training, and all that, I think that excessive alcohol consuption does contribute to injury but is certainly not the sole factor. When i was looking for an answer as to why I was getting hurt, alcohol kept popping up along with some other bio-mechanic issues I have. But hell yah drinks + girls is a good time just as long as your being *responsible*
Thanks for your responses though I enjoy reading them
