Dynamic stretching is a form of stretching where the body is moved dynamically through large ranges of motion rather than holding a single static position. There is actually little to no research on dynamic stretching’s effect on power output but I’ve never noticed a detriment like I observe with too much static stretching. And as Quik noted, the mechanisms that cause the power and strength detriments associated with static stretching would be of far less a concern when using dynamic stretching.
