Hey guys, im new to the forums…
Anyways my question is how much of a difference does body fat have on your speed/times?
My optimal weight is around 125-130lb (5 ‘8 15 years old). But over the last 3 weeks i stopped counting my calories/macros and gained a bit of fat, went from 125 (8-9% BF) to 137 (15% BF).
So how much does it effect someone?
First off even if you ate McDo 6 times a day for 3 weeks straight you couldn’t possibly go from 125 to 137 at your age with that training volume or even gain 7% BF…and 125×1.07=133lbs…I highly doubt that at 125 you were able to put on 4lbs of lean muscle in 3 weeks to reach 137 with the background that you are describing here…that just doesn’t add up in the real world, sorry.
We’re not talking about a 400 lbs person here, nor a sedentary person, so no disrespect to you, at best the person who took your BF measurements made a mistake or that whole thing is just BS cause the only way i see 125 (8-9% BF) to 137 (15% BF) in 3 weeks happening is if and your thyriod went effed-up at the same time you started eating your mom’s estradiol pills for breakfast for performance enhancement purposes.
Second thing, at your age you shouldn’t count calories, it’s not healthy.
Eat whatever you need, whenever you need to, yes you can go on the clean side but don’t make it an obsession. Just make sure to include plenty of fruits and veggies in your diet ,stay well hydrated, always!and remember that sugar pie is not a meal by itself and you’ll be fine.
Depending on your level a few years down the road, you shouln’t worry about BF between 2-5 years again unless you become seriously overweight, and again it won’t happen if you train even half as much as you say.
Lastly, if your question is ”how much bodyfat affects performance” just ask!
Trust me you can when you start eating whole trays of brownies, tubs of ice cream, and frosting…Also when i went down to 125 i know i lost a little bit of muscle, cause i use to be 140 (15% BF). Some days i hit 6k+ calories even 7k-8k at times lol i was HUNGRY.
But the whole point of this thread was to ask how much bodyfat affects performance.
