I think standing long jump correlates better to 100m sprint than long jump.
Long jump is better correlated to your reactiv index scor or 5 jump test.
Shotput throwers are great at standing long jump but if they attempt a normal long jump they will properly not jump very far.
I would bet both would be better correlated to the 5 jump test. I doubt most shotput throwers run a fast 100m, although Oldfields’ was very respectful for his size.
