Mar. 19, 2011: Accel+Strength
usual warmup
5 x 2x25m accel w/ 30s rest between reps, 4-4.5′ between sets
Lift:
single-arm DB hang snatch, each side: 3×35, 3×50, 3×60, 3×70, 2×75
6-rep squats: 135, 225, 255, 275, 275 (PR)
roman chair: 8xbw, 2×6 w/ 25lbs
A couple comments: The outdoor track was closed so I did the above indoors to simulate 50m accelerations. A bit awkward now using trainers for this.
I was a bit short on time so I cut the upper body stuff out of the lift, but I’ll do some higher rep / low CNS upper body lifts after tomorrow’s tempo workout.
Update: 1:15 of recreational ice skating in the afternoon.
