Good question. I think it’s been okay. On the plus side, it’s a bit easier to focus on the intensive tempo knowing that it is shorter. But usually the ET part ends up slower than normal ET from the fatigue. Also, I think it’ll be a useful strategy starting next week when I start 2 months or so of SPP:
s: IT/ET mix
t: speed, lift
t: speed endurance
s: maxv, lift
the recovery days will stay easy, so sunday is the only day for tempo. Depending on how it goes, I may just keep Sunday as ET and let one of the hard days gradually transform into special endurance.
