You know you’ve overtrained when you injure yourself, or some other negative effect is incurred from training. however, it is important that we push ourselves to our limit and then some in order to reach the full extent of our abilities. We can’t be afraid of pushing ourselves as hard as our bodies are capable of taking, but neither can we be afraid to acknowledge our body’s limitations, temporary though they may be.
If I can find the quote I’m looking for…..here we go “I can never stop working hard. Each day I feel I have to improve. Hard work. Determination. I’ve got to keep pushing myself” I feel that sums up what we need to keep in mind as we train.
