Actually 50’s first two CD’s were “Power of the Dollar” and “Guess Who’s Back?”….”Get Rich…” was his first commercial CD (and the end of him as an artist really). Granted, it was a great CD, but it set the stage for him to become commercialized as a lot of rappers tend to do.Has anyone here not noticed that G-Unit/Shady/Aftermath are going down the crapper? Look at the last few albums they put out….D12 was a disappointment, Eminem was no where near his best, 50 was garbage, Game was tight (though easily played out), I mean c’mon? It looks like the ones not getting so much hype such as Lloyd Banks and Young Buck are the ones putting out quality albums (I have to say those two set the stage to dethrone 50 as the best in G-Unit….Banks is a better lyricist and Buck is much harder than 50). Just an observation….
yeah i know he did guess whos back, but i dont think it was ever close to being released. thats why i was wondering if you were counting that. i remember back when get rich was about to drop everyone had ’50 cent is the future.’ that had some FUNNY stuff. the ja rule ads were classic.
i dont think banks and buck are really gonna dethrone 50 in g unit. banks album was good, but hardly good enough to knock down 50. i havent heard the whole buck album, just the singles, but i dont think he has enough of a whole package to knock down 50 either.
ive never like D12, and eminems album was a bit of a disappointment. i wouldnt say shady/aftermath is goin down the crapper just yet though. i think 50 will be pissed if he thinks his album isnt good enough, and maybe well see another one out soon.
oh yeah, and when was that 200 bars song made? it sounds like he was still a part of g unit when he made that.
