"absolute strength with body weight" ???
I think you are refering to "Relative Strength". That is how strong an athlete is compared to how much they weigh.
For national level jumpers I use the following goals.
males
Snatch 125% of body weight
Clean 200% of body weight
Deep Squat (arse to floor) 150% of body weight
females
Snatch 100% of body weight
Clean 150% of body weight
Deep Squat 125% of body weight
Our best long jumper was 7.28m as a frosh. 6' tall 155lbs In Sept of his soph year he deep squated 120lbs. By June his deep squat was 185lbs. He jumped 7.74m and made all-american that year.
I had a year 1 kid last year come in at 5'10" and 140lbs. HJ PR 1.95m He snatched 95lbs in Sept. In May he weighed 145lbs and snatched 160lbs. HJ PR 2.12m When he snatches 180lbs I believe he will jump ~2.25m.
There is a pretty direct corellation between relative strength and jumping performance.
