HAHA. That’s something I rant about too! It drives me nuts when people talk about 50 inch verticals when they really mean 28 inch verticals with extreme knees-to-chest abilities. Any time we do jumps on to or over objects I always instruct to get the hips up not the knees. Raising the box does little to NOTHING for training intensity and greatly increases the chance of injury (what do you think happens when someone misses a 50′ box jump?).
