the weight training might be part of the hip problem…just a thought because of my hip pain; i realized it increases ( or returns if it was gone) when i do lower body exercises, i decided to try and train through it…waiting to see if it was a mistake
Hey Premium, I Think you are right, the hip pain and tightness only really came on this year when I started squating more , I am naturaly very tight anyway and I think the lower body lifting just caused more tightness especially in the hips. I have always had problems with sacro iliac joints so there is some connection there, I will visit my chiropractor for an adjustment tomorrow , that usually helps, I will visit him again on the morning of my Wednesday meet, to get a few more pops from my SI joints.
I think its time to just cut out all lifting for the rest of this season.
I did some active recory today, 10 easy 100 meter tempo runs, really easy, but the hip pain and tightness and spread into lower and mid back muscles, hope the Chiro helps.
