Are you guys talking about James?
Who combined Westside and CF? That doesn’t seem like a good idea on the surface.
I was and I think Brooke was as well, but not sure. James proudly proclaimed fusing CF sprint training with Westside strength building. He wrote and spoke about it many times. It was modified with RE instead of DE days, but very similar to a basic Westside template. Recently, he no longer claims that and in fact has stated on public forums that his weight training consist primarily of submaximal intensities (rarely above 70%), submaximal velocities (no explosive lifts), for submaximal reps (never to failure).
While I would agree that a pure Westside template wouldn’t be the best even for a football player, it would be better for max strength and hypertrophy than what he has stated he does more recently.
