Im just doing alot of tempo right now to establish a base and get in shape.
THe problem is at 1st my 200’s were 31/32 (when i was trying for 36)
THen I was trying for 30’s (and i end up doing them in 28sec)
Now im trying to hold 28’s (and im doing 26’s)
I cant pace myself worth a crap….lol
Today im doing 4×300 (trying to pace myself to 44-45) but I know I will end up doing them in 40sec…..
I wouldn’t worry too much about running faster than intended. All depends how much rest you do between reps. Running 300’s in 44-45 with no more than 3min rest would give simmilar sensation as running 41-42 with longer rest like 5min. I do slower b/c of my speed sessions two times a week. Doing two speed sessions and two fast speed endurance session would be too much for my legs.
