Yes Star, I definitely see what you are saying. However, I guess to be more exact, what I said isn’t the exactness in which I meant it. Sorry Meysam for the confusion.
When I say “run on a hot track” or “minimize contact” I don’t mean to remove contact pre-maturely. That was my fault. In his video, it appears that innitial 15m acceleration is far better than the ladt 15m. And when I, personally, Focus on the knee lifting, my leg automatically strikes the ground with my maximum force capable. May not work for him, I just thought it’d be worth a try… When I give ANY thought whatsoever to striking the ground, and I mean ANY thought whatsoever, my result is a prolonged GC resulting in my plateau of speed.
The main thought that goes through my head is “GO” a secondary thought is to make sure I’m raising my knee high enough while sitting back on my chair. The rest is MORE automatic for me. So when I say minimize contact time, I mean as you go faster, you should feel yourself touching the ground less and less.
During the MGR example, I’m saying you should follow through your first throws/steps. But as it/you go faster, following through hinders top end speed. What I’ve noticed..
