.25 isnt athlete reaction time its the timers reaction time…..the clock starts when the timer says go but they may stop the clock at the wrong time…the FAT timing is more accurate(FAT picture still could be read incorrectly) because you have a picture that you can read and see the times at the finish line…depending on the timer’s experience adding .25 might give you the correct electronic time because i know when i take hand times they are usually match the FAT readings with the addition of .24/.25…but a bad timer can give you a reading thats not close to that formula…Things that may change the result to the hundredths could be as simple as where the timer is- are they saying go at the start line or finish line?…if their at the start line they cant see the finish line that well….if their at the finish line it takes time for the sound to reach the athlete…– Im not familiar with this timing for the 40 but if the electric starts on the command of the athlete it will result in a faster time the than one started by a timer because reaction time is eliminated ..i think that could be a 1/10 of your time depending how good of a starter you are
