not to jack this thread or anything but what do u guys think is the best way to directly strengthen the hip flexors? do you all think my ankle weights are good enough? what are the best ways to strengthen the hip flexors?
Perhaps we may need to define all the hip/thigh flexors so that each one can figure out if they have a deficiency in any of them.
Psoas major, Iliacus, Rectus Femoris, Adductor, Tensor Facia Latae….
Some exercises: Cable pull-throughs, hanging leg raises, tuck jumps, high knee lifts, etc
Ankle weights may be enough to strengthen the TFL and maybe even the RF.
Incorporating ankle weights with the plyometric exercises may be enough. If it tires your muscles then it probably is enough.
