Regarding the drivel you posted about the 60m being the world’s fastest man, I hope you realize that you likely reach speed well before 40m and at your level need significant speed endurance to even finish a 55m. On the other hand, Bolt and Gay hit top speed after 60m. Regardless, Bolt still has the fastest 60m split of all time and then it is between BJ/Mo/Gay/Powell after that, so the end result is the same.
True. It is apparent that top speed can be reached up to roughly 70 meters. That is, if you are Asafa Powell, Tyson Gay, or Usain Bolt. It seems Mo usually reached top speed at 60m in his fastest races. Still, 60 meters is closer to 70 than 100 is. And the results may be the same for these athletes, but that is irrelavent. Many athletes can run very fast 10m splits, but not sustain them. Not to mention many would say that a sub 9.8 or lower 100m sprinter is probably using PEDs, and therefore designing a race for them is unneccessary, not to mention the best race for them to hit top speed is about 70m anyway. My own personal definition of speed is mph or kph, with acceleration also. Drivel this is not. There is reasoning behind it.
