I am leaving Utah today for what will feel like a 9 day road trip to Raleigh, NC and then up to NJ, just outside of NYC. I was looking back at the training journal to see my training from indoor nats to conference championships and it is no wonder things did not go as I had planned.
My training was anything but consistent due to many different factors, especially weather. I was burned out after my first outdoor meet of the season and just felt like I couldn’t recover as fast as I normally do. I even felt out of shape two weeks after my final meet. I am looking forward to training in NC this coming September and having better weather. I will have a great coach and training partner in Mike Young and Eric Broadbent. This next chapter in track and life looks very promising and I cannot wait to get there. On another not this drive is going to be miserable and I am hoping this to be my last drive cross country.
Starting June 12 I will start to slowly get back in shape and build up a good base this summer.
