Approaches felt pretty good today in terms of rhythm and speed. I couldn’t hit a good take off at all though. The 15 stride jumps didn’t feel as good as last week but i jumped further than last week (7.35m) which is pleasing.
4 bound and jump were excellent today. I jumped 17.60m from a standing (up 50cm from last week) and 19.60m from a 2 stride run in. (both 60cm off my PR)
Not sure what’s up with my take off right now. My 7.35m jump came from the most aggressive take off and i felt some good pop. But nothing like what i was getting 4-5 weeks ago. Why would my bounding be so powerful but my take off not so much?
So just lifted, cleaned 285 for 2 reps. This is PR. Squated 355 for 4 reps. It looked like it took me a week of lifting to get back to PR numbers after not lifting for 3 weeks. This really makes me think that if i had done 1 good lifting session in Europe, my performance would have been a lot better.
