Have you considered switching events? If you can run a world class 30m, unless you have some gross technical issues, you should be able to run well to 60m at least as good as if not better than your LJ in comparison.
We actually did some testing last year using 10m flys from various run-in distances and intensities and they indicated that Nick (at least last year) was capable of getting to near his top speed within about 25-30m. As he suggested, I suspect Nick could get to 10.3x which is quite good but I think he has much more potential in the LJ.
