Brendon…I greatly appreciate the words of wisdom. I have a few questions for you…Would your arm be higher up if you were less flexible? I’ve tried working on shoulder flexibility throughout the fall but lately I have gotten lazy with it and I still think my flexibility sucks. As of right now I keep it close to ear as far as height and then pull straight back. Most of my better throws have been reflexive but with no block and literally no effort with my arm, but when I try and “throw some arm in there” at the end it back fires and hurts and doesn’t go as far. I know you are supposed throw with the body and get in the proper position but there is definitely some arm action that I feel like I am missing out on as well. When I chuck a football it goes pretty far but hand me a jav and most middle schoolers could beat me! I also don’t think I block with my opposite side like I should which is hurting me. What shoulder flex and strength exercises do you do if you don’t mind me asking? Again I appreciate the advice and would really like to hear more based on questions that I’ve asked.
