Example, if you have a sprinter who is already strong then I don’t see much benefit from using all of these exotic rep/set schemes and exercises. The more advance athlete can stick with the same 3-5 core movements most of the year and if they have any weaknesses they can add additonal movements (lunges, stepups etc) during gpp. Another example, the more advance lifters (ol’s) dont even perform back squats and others don’t perform any squats at all. When you are in the developmental stages more exercises/variation is needed to correct weaknesses etc.
